We really liked these! I didn't have crescent roll dough so I made a batch of my own easy 1/2-whole wheat pizza dough, divided it into three 6-by-12 inch rectangles, and went from there. I topped them with a scant amount of pizza sauce, a dusting of garlic powder, a sprinkle of grated parmesan (just the Kraft kind), a thin layer of shredded mozzarella, and a thin layer of chopped pepperoni. Don't overfill! I rolled them up tightly and refrigerated for an hour or so before cutting and cooking at 400 for 12 minutes.
I recommend you lay these on the flat while cooking (as one reviewer suggested) to avoid the cheese oozing out. Mine puffed up beautifully and were really attractive. They were a HUGE hit with my kids, my husband, and the kids/adults at the get-together we went to. I did not find mine to be messy at all, in fact, will make these again just to have *less* messy pizza nights for my 2- and 4-YOs and myself/DH. Thanks for the great recipe idea!
