I tried this last night and it was a disaster. 30 min was not enough time for the dough to rise. I baked the crust first for about 5 min and then added toppings because I hate when the crust gets soggy, and the crust wouldn't bake through. I left the pizza in for over 40 min and the dough was still raw & soggy. .

I was very impressed with this recipe. While preparing the dough, I preheat my oven just for a minute or 2 (at 200 degrees, turned it off and then put the dough in. Perfect place for it to rise. I just shaped it with my hands, and put string cheese pieces on the edge to make my own stuffed crust pizza. Very good. This is the recipe I will use from now on.

This was great... I used my bread machine. I was out of bread flour and ended up useing whole wheat flour - turned out wonderful. I spiced the dough with romano cheese. My family LOVED it.

This seemed to work pretty well but husband thought it just tasted like bread. We had to let it rise for an hour. It was fine and basically worked but didn't wow us.

The best part about the recipe is that its fast, and easy. Don't expect it to be the best crust you've ever had, it was bready and did not expand or get crispy. So so experience, I used organic white flour, maybe that was the problem?

This made a nice crust - it's more bready than a pizzeria pizza crust, but still good. I will pre-bake it next time as others said because of the mushy middle. I split the dough to make 2 pizzas but it was too thin - the dough did not rise much in 30 minutes, so next time I will just make one. I used cornmeal on the pizza stone which made the crust come off easily. This was great!

Great for an easy pizza dough. Followed the recipe exactly (except I cooked it for 8 minutes or so before topping). Turned out well.

This was very good. I had only ever done quick crust before like the box mixes you buy at the store. I used all purpose flour and it turned out okay as far as we could tell. This came out very crispy where I was able to get it thin enough. I did prebake this for about 8 minutes before adding the toppings as other reviewers suggested. I used a Wilton pizza pan that has holes in the bottom and baked this near the bottom of the oven (second position from bottom in my oven) to crisp the bottom crust. I did knead this about 4 times to work in a tiny bit of flour as it seemed a little wet. I will use this one again, it was easy to work with and the directions were simple to follow. This made 1 round 14" crust and could have fit a cookie sheet sized pan easily. Thanks Phyllis for sharing this!

This was very easy to make however, I used regular flour....and I don't know if that is why, I ended up needing to add almost an additional cup of flour because the consistency was way too sticky to work with. I also, added more salt......and cornmeal to the bottom of the pizza. Came out pretty good.

This Recipe is AMAZING. I use this all the time. Just make sure to use just under 1 cup of water because sometimes it comes out a little wet. but if that happens, just add more flour until it gets to be doughy.

This was so very good. It surprised me I have never made dough from scratch before. This recipe made as simple as 1-2-3. I did as the others and added some parsley and garlic salt. I also let the dough cook for half way before put on the toppings to insure that it cooked all the way through. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

Makes a very good crust. I added 1/4 tsp. of italian seasoning and thyme. I'm still working on perfecting the baking time. The first time it was undercooked so the next time I made it I baked the crust half way through then added the toppings.

This was really good homemade dough. My 6 y.o. loved it so much she asked if we could just have the dough next time w/o the pizza toppings. I think it would make great breadsticks. It was a bit too soft for me, which is why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars.

Yesterday I decided to take a shot at making my own pizza crust. I read many reviews and decided after an 8-5 job this would be my best bet. SO easy! I used regular flour. It came out great! I added 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp thyme and 2 tsps of italian seasoning. I'm looking fwd to making again. Next time I'll do as others suggested and use a pizza stone (need to buy 1) and use corn meal at the bottom of pan. I'll also let it rise a bit longer and use 3/4 c of water for yeast mixture. I am so glad that although I didn't do some of these things IT was a HIT!!! Thank you!

This dough is truly the best I've ever had- AMAZING! It makes a large pizza with generous crust, which I've used for making a 'stuffed crust' twice. I just found this recipe two weeks ago and I've made it four times already. My husband asks for pizza now every time I ask what he wants for dinner. I just bought some whole wheat dough today and will be trying it 100% whole wheat next time. We're both anxious to see how this healthier twist on an already fabulous recipe turns out.

This was SO easy, and good too. I made the recommended adjustments. I used all purpose flour, added 1/4 tsp each of marjoram, oregano, thyme, basil, and garlic powder, and used only 3/4 cup of water. This was good, and SO easy. Five stars for the simplicity of this recipe!
