Looking for a refreshing salsa for a warm summer evening? This is our favorite. Serve with tortilla chips. This is also fantastic served on white fish. I often use a canned jalapeno instead of fresh.

Spicy Salsa

Four jalapeno peppers are diced and mixed into this very tomato salsa, so it 's quite nippy. And there 's a bit of garlic and cilantro to help it along as well. It 's finished with a splash of lime juice and chilled until ready to serve. Makes three cups.

I came up with this fresh-tasting, spicy recipe one night as we fired up steaks smothered in a smoky hickory BBQ sauce on our new grill. The combination was a hit and this has definitely become a new favorite. We like our food spicy, so adjust the amount of chipotle and onion to suit your taste.

'This colorful salsa is worth the extra time it takes to grill the ears of corn,' assures field editor Nancy Horsburgh of Everett, Ontario. 'The flavor goes well with barbecued meats, but it's also tasty served with chips.'
