I learned to make Cajun Pita Chips while working for a caterer. They're deliciously different dippers for my rich and creamy spinach dip. --Julia Morgan, Flatwoods, Kentucky

I was in the produce aisle admiring the beautiful eggplants and I kinda said out loud 'hmmm... wonder what I could do with those?' and a woman answered, 'I always make salsa!' SALSA??? So I figured I give it a shot.. and scribbled down her recipe! YUM!

If you're trying to snack healthier these days, give Katina Tanner's recipe a try. Her crispy pita wedges are a low-sodium substitute for salty commercial chips, and their zippy seasoning is a fun alternative to creamy dips. She bakes batches of her satisfying nibbles in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

I sort of made up this recipe, and it turned out to be pretty good. I was trying to imitate a pita with garlic butter sauce appetizer this one restaurant makes.

Whole Wheat Pita Bread

I came up with this recipe after a search for a whole wheat pita bread left me frustrated. I used soy flour to totally eliminate white flour. What resulted was a hearty pita with a nice nutty flavor. It tastes great with sandwich fillings, peanut butter, or dipped in hummus. This is my first recipe, so I hope you enjoy it.
