Pineapple Rice Casserole

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup uncooked instant rice
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • Pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS

  1. Prepare rice according to package directions. Stir in butter. Add the pineapple, brown sugar and salt; spoon into a greased shallow 1-qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
