Everyone likes this and many ask for the recipe. They are intrigued by the ingredients! I use 1.5 cups pretzels and 16 oz cool whip. You can mix the pretzels in up to 3 hours in advance. Sometimes they are too crunchy if you mix them in and serve them asap.

I may have to try this one again. I was not a huge fan, but everyone else loved it and there was none left.

This is a wonderful dessert to take to a potluck. I got so many good coments about it being so different and very tasty. They thought the pretzels were a very good touch. Most wanted a copy of the recipe. Will make this again and again.

This was great! Very light and fluffy! I would suggest adding the whipped topping before the pineapple. Add the whipped topping slowly so that it blends well with the cream cheese mixture. I did not do this and I had some chunks of cream cheese which were hard to smooth out with all the pineapple chunks in there. It would be much better smooth. Also be sure to double up on the pretzels. I did 2 cups at least and used the 1/2 cup of butter and sugar ratio listed. I still had a lot of extra sugar/butter mixture coating the pretzels, I just kept stirring until it cooled and was evenly coated. It seems like there would be way too much extra if made with just one cup of pretzels. Overall quick recipe that is not only great but cheap as well! I had everything in the house!

Oh this stuff is gooooood! I've made it exactly as the recipe states, and it's good. But I prefer to use less sugar in the pretzels (and I just bake em on a cookie sheet with raised edges) and a bit less butter as well. Let it chill overnight, and keep the pretzel mixture in a ziploc baggie. Add in JUST before serving. This stuff will get gobbled up quickly! Making it again for a July 4th party this weekend!

Great Recipe for a Potluck (Super Easy), the pretzels are a nice twist as well. You can probably get away with using anykind of fruit. Will make again...

Very good. Like another reviewer said, next time I would use more pretzels but keep the sugar/butter amounts the same.

OMG!! I had this recipe 7 years ago and lost it! THANK YOU THANK YOU!! You made my summer:-)It is just to DIE FOR!!! I am going to make more now. Made this for a luau party and it was a HUGE hit. YYUUUMMMMM I just keep my pretzles in a snap lock container and add them to each bowl. Keeps a long time that way. And I make extra of those pretzles. (use the same amount of butter and sugar, just more pretzles) I can't stop eating them either!

I've taken this dish to every school, church and sports function and always get requests for the recipe. It is so tasty, it's hard to believe how simple it is. Sweet and salty/creamy and crunchy combined. How can you go wrong?

This is very easy to make and is always a hit, even the pickiest of eaters love it. I'm always asked for the recipe. Remember to keep out the pretzel mixture until right before serving to prevent the pretzels from becoming soggy!

My grandmother just shared this recipe with me, and I was so happy to see it already online otherwise I would've submitted it. She and grandpa LOVE this recipe... they had a tiny dab to share with me when I visited. This is a fabulous recipe to take to a potluck...most of us tend to have these ingredients on hand, so it's easy to throw it together quickly. The pretzels look and almost taste like nuts--they are a buttery, crunchy, and delicious way to bring the salad to another level! YUM!

My sister gave me this recipe. It looks very strange, but is DELICIOUS! I actually won a contest at work for the best salad with this recipe. I've even cut down on the butter (to about 1/3 cup) and it was still just as good.

This was soooo cheap (~$6), semi-healthy (if you use lite whipped cream, and cream cheese) and most important SUPER GOOD! Even my picky husband loved it (I had him taste it BEFORE telling him what was in it:). I had to make it the day before I needed to serve it and it turned out great. I kept the pretzel mixture separate from the creamy mixture until I was ready to serve it. YUM!
