Pineapple Ham Loaf
SUBMITTED BY:

"I 'inherited' this recipe from the family that owned the building where I rented my first apartment. It's one of my favorites and very easy to prepare. It's great for company because you can mix the loaf in advance, then simply pour on the sauce before putting it in the oven...it's the sauce that makes it so good!"

A wonderful ham loaf. I have tried many but the glaze makes it. The loaf is fairly standard (I only added chopped green pepper) and I like the combination of pork and ham. The glaze is wonderful. I made two loaves and froze one. Make sure you baste it three or four times. I used the thermometer and 170 was perfect. A little under 1 1/2 hours.

I have been making my mother's ham loaf recipe for 40 years and thought it was the best until I tried this. It is fantastic, and the sauce makes it! There is just my husband and I so I made two smaller loaves, reduced the cooking time by 20 min., and froze the extra one for another meal (which might be real soon!)

This loaf is great, the only change I made was that I was out of crackers so I used Panko bread crumbs instead. My wife was a real skeptic when I started this meal and she went back for seconds. Thanks for submitting this easy recipe!! Rudy

Never heard of a hamloaf before this. I had leftover ham to use up so I made this. The only change I made is used 1lb maple sausage. My father and husband loved it.Good thing, we've been having leftovers for three days.

I made this dish last night as is. I did not change or add a thing and it was delicious. The sauce is the star and should not be avoided. It is well worth the calories.

This was a little trouble as I had to grind my own cooked ham for this recipe. It makes a large loaf and the glaze definetly makes it.
