These were awesome! Thank you. I made my 1st attempt last night. I followed some user reviews and used 1/2 butter and 1/2 shortening and DOUBLED the sugar. My entire picky family agreed to keep this recipe! Today I will experiment with the leftovers that seem a bit hard this morning, so around dinner time I'll see how they re-heat. I also have unused dough I'll try and make a batch tomorrow and see how the refrigerated dough holds up.

wonderful recipe...very easy to work with...rises like nobody's business...a half batch in a 9 by 13 pan yields a pan full of sandwich rolls or hamburger buns let alone dinner rolls

While these Were Easy To make and had a nice texture and Flavor, the The bottoms Burnt Within 8 Minutes in the Oven, so we had to Peel the bottoms off before they were even ok to eat. So with the exception of the baking time being a little wonky they were pretty good.

Wow, what amazing rolls! Super soft and fluffy and just perfect. I did everything the same except that I used half buttermilk and half regular milk, butter instead of shortening, and cut down on the sugar to 2 TB, and they were even better that I could have hoped for. I used the garlic butter recipe from this site, and they were insanely delicious! The best rolls I have ever tasted. They rise A LOT, so give them room. I have added italian seasoning, garlic powder and onion powder and they turned out wonderfully as well, you can't go wrong with this recipe!

Really delicious! I keep baked rolls in my freezer, I can pop them in the oven for a warm up, and they are a wonderful addition to any meal.
