I grew up in the south, and my great aunt was known for her pig pickin' cake...and I've never found a recipe as good as hers...until now! After trying it exactly as written, the 2nd time I made it I changed the recipe slightly to 1/2 cup oil and I also added fresh strawberries between the layers & on top. (I only made it a 2 layer cake) I received rave reviews! Cake was extremely moist! My husband, who isn't a very big fan of sweets & desserts had 3 slices! Thank you!
