Bell peppers stuffed with hashbrowns, ground beef, green beans, and cheese. My apartment-mate and I invented this recipe while drinking beer and 'reminiscing' about elementary-school cafeteria food!

Pickled Corn on the Cob

Sections of corn are pickled on the cob. A great recipe for preserving fresh corn from the summer to enjoy later in the year. Be sure to use the freshest corn possible.

Bob's Habanero Hot Sauce - Liquid Fire

Using fewer habanero peppers can reduce the spiciness in this extremely hot habanero hot sauce. The sauce works wonders as a pick-up for Bloody Mary drinks. This recipe was given to me many years ago by an elderly farmers wife and has been one of my 'must do' yearly canning recipes. If you have a large amount of beets, just keep repeating brine until your beets are all gone! Enjoy!

Crisp Pickled Green Beans

Submitted by: JWATTSETT
This recipe is from my Grandmother's cookbook she made to pass to all her grandchildren. They come out very, very crisp with a wonderful dill flavor. The red pepper flakes give them a nice punch. They are much better than the recipes that call for cooking the beans first.

Fresh green beans are steamed and then canned with a clove of garlic and sprigs of fresh dill. You can substitute 1 teaspoon of dill seeds for the 2 sprigs of dill, if desired.
