Ground beef and chorizo sausage are browned then simmered with tomatoes and spices among other things. This could be where Sloppy Joes came from! It's a wonderful Cuban recipe that I've served like chili or over a roll or even over cornbread! Total comfort food.

This is a delicious green plantain, beef, and tomato hash recipe that my sister brought back from Costa Rica. It's best served as a vegetable or on a hot tortilla as a boca.

I received this wonderful recipe of beef, olives, and sweet peppers from my son's Cuban grandmother. We serve it over black beans and rice with fried plantain on the side, it's amazing!

I got the original recipe from my father-in-law and made a few changes. It has been one of my family's favorites for over 20 years. Serve over white rice, or complete with a side of French fries. It may not sound fancy but it is definitely delicious!

This is a healthier version of a Mexican dish called picadillo, however this version contains turkey meat instead. It is simple to make, flavorful and delicious. Enjoy with any kind of tortilla! Delicious!

Go deep this Super Bowl Sunday: Serve empanadas. These turnovers are perfect 'finger food' -- no knife and fork required. And because the recipes use refrigerated biscuit dough, it's an easy score. All you have to do is make the fillings.
