Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/4 cup chopped pimento-stuffed olives
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • Tortilla chips

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, brown beef. Add water, garlic, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes; drain. Add next six ingredients; mix well. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot with chips.
