Philly Cheese Steak Pizza
SUBMITTED BY:
Maria Regakis
"In Somerville, Massachusetts, Maria Regakis tops a crescent roll crust with deli beef, mozzarella cheese and sauteed veggies. The quick combination offers the terrific taste of the traditional sandwich in a fun new way."

DIRECTIONS
Unroll crescent roll dough and place in an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. Press onto the bottom and 1/2 in. up the sides to form a crust; seal perforations. Bake at 375 degrees F for 7-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute the green pepper, onion and bouillon in oil until vegetables are tender; set aside. Arrange beef over crust. Brush with salad dressing and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake 4-5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Top with green pepper mixture. Cut into squares.

I used this as a recipe guide for using up leftover roast beef, and leftover sauteed onion, peppers and mushrooms. I didn't have crescent rolls, so I also used Jay's Signature Pizza Crust. This is a great new idea for the 2 days worth of leftover roast beef we now have since becoming empty nesters.

The true Philadelphia football fan that I am just had to try this recipe. I did alter it quite a bit, first made my own crust with Jay's signature crust recipe from this site and used pizza sauce. Sauteed steak, mushrooms, onions, and garlic, topped with white cheddar cheese and mozzarella, it was fantastic to eat while my husband and I watched the game!

Very good, one of the best pizzas I've ever had (no kidding). I used smoked provolone cheese instead of mozzeralla, omitted the bullion, added sauteed mushrooms (which i strongly recommend), 4 cheese pizza sauce which had some zing, and used a pillsbury pizza dough in a tube rather than crescent rolls. I doubled up on the italian dressing too and sauteed it in with the veggies and beef

The recipe was decent. It seemed to have been missing something-not enough "zing."

Very good! I used leftover roast beef instead of deli meat and sliced it thin.
