This is a good recipe, but it's not a great recipe. Considering all the reviews, I was so excited to make it and took the risk of preparing it on Father's Day. It wasn't as impressive as I had hoped. As a few other reviewers said, something is missing.

My husband, mother, sister & I though this recipe was terrible. I'm not sure what the reason was. I followed it 99% except I did not have white wine and I used white zinvandel. I didn't think that would make that much of a difference.

This really is phenomenal! Yes, its a lot of work, especially if you follow the recipe exactly like we did, but it is sooo worth it. It was light and very tasty. We wouldn't change a thing!

I added a few different changes, such as half a lime and only using half as much basil in the pesto, but this was one of the greatest pastas I've ever had.

Made this last night for dinner and it was wonderful. Here is what I altered. I cut the recipe in half and still had extras between the two of us. I used classico premade sundried tomato pesto, a little less than half the jar. The sauce had no problem thickening and I even added a bit of extra wine. I added the pesto and a few whole babby bella mushrooms in just before adding the chicken and marinade. Let cook for about 6mins-8mins and thicken with the cream. I will make extra sauce next time it was delicious. We sopped up what we could with our champagne french bread. Delicious!

I was not hugely impressed with this dish. I added 1 T of both the seasonings and upped the garlic. I seasoned as I went, but it still just seemed to be lacking something in flavor. It never really thickened up (even after adding a handful of parm cheese at the end) until it was ready to be put away. This makes ALOT, there were 5 adults eating this, and we have over half leftover.

This was good but not phenomenal. I was really expecting a big punch of flavor and it just wasn't there. It did make a nice diner and great left overs, but lacked a "wow" factor that I want when there are this many ingredients and that much work involved. If you are a big pesto fan I would absolutley recommend this recipe.

This recipe has a great taste but ended up being less than I expected given the rating. I didn't have trouble with the sauce thickening like some of the other reviews stated. I was able to make a no-meat version. I split the main recipe in half before adding the chicken and the no-meat version actually turned out better than the meat version. Will probably make again.

This recipe is definitely the best Pest Recipe I have found. I pull it out whenever we have company I want to impress! We even decided to bring it out for Thanksgiving this year, who knows it may become a new dish we bring out for every holiday!

I made this whole recipe for my roommates and me, and everyone loved. I didn't have any sun dried tomatoes, but it was great without it, and it wouldn't have been better with though! I also added mushrooms. It is a make again.

This is the perfect recipe for a pasta salad! I couldn't resist it and will not soon be making another... For a dinner pasta i find it too rich (i like my pasta's more sober/"authentic") I omitted the cream though, instead i used pasta water with some extra parmesan to moisten it all up. Works like a charm and.. less fat.

Delicious! I forgot the sun-dried tomatoes, but it still turned out really well. And like another user recommended, wait until before serving to cut up the chicken breasts into smaller pieces so it remains moist and doesn't dry out.

Pretty good. Not my normal pasta dish, but worth the list of ingredients. I used homemade pesto and it did need more salt / pepper. I used whole wheat bow tie pasta and substituted fresh grape tomatoes just before serving instead of sun-dried tomatoes. Will try it again for sure.

This was really good. Also a really time consuming dish to prepare! But was worth it. I only gave it 4 stars because i expected it to be ALOT more flavorful. Next time i make this i will use garlic powder instead of fresh garlic. I was really worried at first, because i didn't have a food processor(fp), but my blender didn't fail me! So if you don't have a FP, don't worry! It is still do-able!!! Oh and make sure you use a REALLY big frying pan! I had to switch while cooking cause my medium frying pan wouldn't hold the chicken and pasta!

I loved it but my husband not so much. I am going to make again and not use as much pesto, I used the Trader Joe's brand instead of making my own.

I used low-sodium broth, and so as I was warned, the dish was underseasoned. But it was nothing that salt and pepper couldn't remedy with the dish. Tasty recipe.

I loved this although I did make a few changes which made it a really quick, healthier meal. I marinated the chicken for a few hours, then because I didn't have an onion I skipped that step, I also didn't add the extra wine as I felt there was enough liquid and flavour in the marinade, my tomatoes weren't in oil which cut the calories a bit more and instead of cream I used a few tablespoons of light sourcream - just enough to make it creamy without loads of fat, I also used a good quality store bought pesto and added a few marinated artichokes at the end because I thought they'd go nicely with all the other flavours. My 8yr old liked this and she is not a fan of pesto usually so next time I will add some baby spinach to it to get a few more veges into her!
