What could be easier, and oh so yummy! I did roll them in panko (didn't even egg wash) and fried in a pan for just a bit, then popped in the oven to finish. It's really good left over as well. Hubby loved this one.

This was very good! I didn't change a thing to the recipe. Next time I think I'll rub the chicken with some salt and pepper for a little more taste.

This is delicious and so easy if you cheat like I do =) I used store bought pesto and I didn't roll the chicken up or even flatten it. I just put the pesto and cheese on top of each breast and it was fantastic. Thank you for the recipe!

This is the best recipe I've ever used on this site - hands down. Delicious with a capital D. I freaked out at first because I realised when I started cooking that I forgot the toothpicks, but it still came out tasting great. I followed the recipe for the most part - all I did different was I added the step with the breadcrumbs/egg wash and covered the breasts for the first half-hour of baking. The chicken was so tender and tasted amazing with the melted cheese and pesto!! Restuarant quality meal!

This recipe was very easy and quick. I did not use quite a 1/4 of a cup of pesto for each piece of chicken as the recipe states, used shredded mozzarella and also took the suggestion of other reviewers and dipped my chicken in egg and then italian breadcrumbs to give it a crispy crust. My husband and I both loved it, the chicken was juicy and tender I will def. be making this again...maybe with sun-dried tomato pesto as alternative.

This was very simple yet very tasty. Instead of pounding the chicken and rolling it; I slit the chicken in half length wise being careful not to go all the way through; season the inside of chicken with a little salt pepper and garlic powder then spread the basil on the chicken and added the cheese fold the chicken back in place and baked in the oven at 350F for half an hour then broiled for 5 mins to give the chicken a little extra colour. If I had cooked the chicken as long as stated in the recipe it would have been dry. Thanks for this great and easy recipe.

This is one of my favorite ways to prepare chicken! I gave the recipe 4 stars by itself because the chicken is even better dipped in egg and breadcrumbs!

This was awesome! I used a jarred pesto and shredded mozzerella for ease of preperation.

Super EASY and very very tasty. I followed the recipe except I sprinkled salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder on the rolls before baking. I then baked the chicken for 35 min at 350. Perfect!

Great recipe, looks great while still being super simple. I used a homemade pesto and fresh mozzarella. It was delicious and made for great lunches for following days. (even nice snacks eaten cold)

Wonderful recipe - easy to make, and it came out great. I put some extra pesto on the top of the chicken before baking it and it turned out great. The cheese inside leaked out a bit but I was able to just put it right back onto the top and it was just as good. A definite hit with my family!

4 stars because I feel this recipe really needs to be coated in bread to be complete, but 5 stars for easiness and taste. In addition to adding the breading, I used shredded cheese. My chicken rolls only took 30min to cook at 375.

I took others advice and decided not to roll them. I did wrap a piece of prosciutto around each breast, then topped with pesto and cheese. Baked covered initially, then removed foil for last 10 minutes or so to brown cheese. Served with Garlic Parmesan orzo also on this sight. Such a great meal!

After messing with this recipe I was finally able to keep (most) of the cheese inside the roll. Great taste and good use for the tons of pesto I made last year!
