Perfect Apple Pie Recipe Reviews - Allrecipes.com (Pg. 10)

This pie filling was delicious, though I actually used a different recipe for the crust. I added a little extra lemon juice, as well as a 1/4 tsp. of ground cloves, and the flavor was wonderful. The only thing I wished that this recipe had mentioned was to wait for 15-20 minutes before cutting the pie; it needs to cool a little before being cut to avoid it being soupy.

I love this Recipe! I made it for my Sunday school teacher last Sunday and have made it 3 times sense! I recommend that you use Granny Smith apples. Thanks for posting this!

yum yum yum yum yum!!!! I have made apple pie only one other time than this recipe, and it was just ok, so I didn't bother trying again. But I am sure glad I tried this recipe. Perfect flaky crust and yummy inside. I followed recipe exactly except I added about 1/2 cup brown sugar to the filling. And I didn't put salt in the filling although the directions say too yet there is no measurement for it. I used Jonagold and cameo apples leftover from the apple orchard. I will definitely make this again. It will be a favorite!

Filling was amazing! Crust was a little difficult to keep together. Best apple pie I've made after I added more water to the crust.

Even though the crust did not look great (First time making pie crust) the pie tasted AMAZING!! I did do the 1/2 white sugar, 1/2 brown sugar, but otherwise followed the exact recipe. I will be making this again very soon! There is no need to look further for an apple pie recipe, this is it!

This was my first try at apple pie and I will be making it again, soon! The recipe is easy to follow and the results were superior to any apple pie I've ever eaten in a restaurant.

This pie was AMAZING. I wasn't sure what apples I was using (boyfriend and I had gone to the apple orchard) but the filling turned out PERFECT! (Although, side-note, at first it was quite runny and soupy, but as the pie cooled it gelled up perfectly. But who has the patience to wait for that?) I'll also use this crust recipe over and over for other pies - it was just the right amount to make a top and bottom crust.
