After reading other reviews, I cut the amounts of soy sauce, cayenne and black pepper in half, and everyone liked it. I mixed in cooked penne noodles at the end.

I like spicy but this has a bit too much pepper to be edible. I cut the amount of pepper in half. I also do 3/4 the amount of soy as it tends to be too salty for me, subbing water for the rest of the soy. Otherwise satisfies a cravin for chinese

This wasn't a big hit at our house. I followed the recipe pretty closely, but my husband and I just didn't feel like it had a lot of flavor. Our 1 year old enjoyed it though.

This was very delicious - I made exactly as written, with an extra clove of garlic. Great over rice - lots of flavor in the sauce.

Amazing and easy to make. Didn't have cayenne on hand, so I used red pepper flakes. Will definitely try cayenne next time. Added broccoli instead of snow peas because it is what I had...Super good! Will make again!!!!

This is a well-written recipe in terms of timing and prep. For example, I was glad to have the sauce done in advance and ready when I needed it. It's a good foundation for someone who can add a helping of creativity, due to the absence of flavor. My version has extra vegetables, plus onion and ginger, Chinese Five Spice in the sauce and rice cooked in broth.

The one thing lacking in this recipes is garlic. I would add 1-1.5 Tbs of minced garlic to this recipe. Makes a big difference.

I would do this again. I tastes pretty good. I thought I would have to add something like a bit of salt but I didn't have too. Next time I might add green onions for my preference.
