This was very delicious - I made exactly as written, with an extra clove of garlic. Great over rice - lots of flavor in the sauce.

Amazing and easy to make. Didn't have cayenne on hand, so I used red pepper flakes. Will definitely try cayenne next time. Added broccoli instead of snow peas because it is what I had...Super good! Will make again!!!!

This is a well-written recipe in terms of timing and prep. For example, I was glad to have the sauce done in advance and ready when I needed it. It's a good foundation for someone who can add a helping of creativity, due to the absence of flavor. My version has extra vegetables, plus onion and ginger, Chinese Five Spice in the sauce and rice cooked in broth.

The one thing lacking in this recipes is garlic. I would add 1-1.5 Tbs of minced garlic to this recipe. Makes a big difference.

I would do this again. I tastes pretty good. I thought I would have to add something like a bit of salt but I didn't have too. Next time I might add green onions for my preference.

My husband helped himself to not just seconds, but thirds. He and our dinner guest thought it tasted just like something you would get in a nice Asian restaurant. I seasoned it just as the recipe suggests, and it was VERY spicy. I think that was what made it such a crowd-pleaser. I should note that I used yellow onion and carrot instead of mushrooms and snowpeas, and that I marinated my steak overnight in the Best Steak Marinade in Existence.

Great recipe but too much liquid for me! Three stars may be unfair as I did change two ingredients. As fresh peppers were just too expensive I used frozen pepper strips which turned to mush with all the liquid. Next time I will use fresh! I did not have cayenne pepper on hand and used red pepper flakes but it was still spicy enough. This was great when first prepared but the leftovers were a bit too soggy. Next time I am going to use all fresh vegetables and reduce the liquid to a quarter cup of water and soy sauce.

Easy to make and yummy. VERY hot. Followed suggestions of others and added just tiny more cayenne pepper (not needed). Instead of using fresh vegetables I used the frozen stir fry mix. Worked great. Alos, doubled sauce as suggested.

Great recipe just as written. A different kind of stir fry than what we are used to.

This meal is a perfect last minute meal, and delicious. I seasonsed the steak with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper before cooking it to add flavor. Next time I think I will try a marinade to make the meat more tender. I also had to use jarred mushrooms, since were we live mushrooms are expensive (4oz for $4), but it still turned out great, and we will most definitely make this meal again. Also, since we like our food spicy, I doubled the amount of cayenne pepper. Thank you for a great recipe.

I made a few changes for our personal tastes. First I marinated the steak strips for about 1 1/2 hours in a white wine marinade. Secondly I used veggies of our choice (onions, celery, peppers, broccoli, carrots). And thirdly I used orange juice instead of water for the sauce. I believe this just kicked up the flavor a bit for us. We really enjoyed this meal.

The only flavor in this recipe was the soy sauce, which in my opinion was not tasty. The beef was especially bland. The redeeming factors were the ease of prepartion and the healthfulness of that many vegetables.
