Peppermint Cereal Squares

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 40 large marshmallows
  • 6 cups crisp rice cereal
  • 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candy

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a heavy saucepan over low heat, cook and stir butter and marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from the heat. Stir in cereal and candy; mix well. Transfer to a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. pan; press mixture into pan. Cool; cut into squares.
