This is holiday perfection! I just made these last night and both and my husband absolutely loved them. I served with a hot cup of peppermint flavored coffee. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful recipe! These will definitely become a part of our holiday traditions.

I had to make three batches of this at Christmas! I didn't have the peppermint extract but it turned out fantastic without it. I didn't use dark chocolate to dip them in. I used white chocolate instead and sprinkled with the dusty part of the crushed peppermints. Fantastic. I will be making these for Valentine's!

Very nice biscotti. I baked mine on parchment paper and although some of the candies melted, it certainly wasn't a big deal. If the bottoms burn a little, just dip them in melted chocolate and no one will ever know. I decorated with the melted chocolate and crushed candy canes, just like the picture. I am going to put them in cellophane gift bags, tie with a pretty ribbon, and give them to my guests on Christmas Day.

Although they taste good, they burn more easily due to the candy. Next time I won't try crushing candy canes to do this. I'd use those starlight mints.

This recipe is very good. It baked wonderfully and the first time I made it I forgot to add the crushed peppermint candy to the dough! It was great tasting with or without.

I loved making these cookies. This was my first attempt at biscotti. My mother always said it was too hard. In comparison with ANY other baking, this is not hard to make at all. I agree with these cookies being more 'shortbread-ish'. I have made two pretty packages of these to mail home to my mom and dad. I dipped one half in chocolate and pressed in candy. leavg the other half plain for holding. They really are pretty. What a refreshing flavor. I had my kids smash candy canes with a rolling pin. (Took like 30 canes). Very tastey with Chai spiced tea.

I agree, three logs was MUCH easier to work with and turned out substantially better! Very tasty, I've had many ask for the recipe already!

Great biscotti! I dunked one end in chocolate and sprinkled with peppermint sugar (finely crushed peppermint). Packaged these as gifts and everyone loved them.

Oh, these are awesome!!!! I made a batch and they disappeared so fast, I had to make another! I followed the advice about making three logs the second time I made them. It was a much better size to deal with. I also had a problem with the candy melting onto the cookie sheet, so I just sprayed it with Pam and it was fine. I chose to dip one whole side of the cookie into the chocolate and sprinkle with the crushed candy. That way the eater gets a taste of chocolate on every bite. Also, I only needed about 3/4 of a cup of chocolate chips, both times I made the recipe. These are now a new Christmas tradition. Yum!

Yummy! I made several types of biscotti to give away for Christmas and this was my favorite! A great recipe. Be careful not to crush the peppermints too much or you will end up with just a powder. The recipe was perfect!

Made exactly as stated. I had a little problem with the peppermint melting onto the cookie sheet and I believe it should be divided into 3 smaller logs - there is a lot of dough with this recipe! This is why I gave it 4 stars.

This recipe tasted very good. I made them to put in Christmas gift baskets. The only problem I had was that is tells you to seperate into two sections, which makes for very short biscotti. I perfer a longer biscotti for dunking.

This tasted fantastic but I somehow got my presentation a little wrong. Making the dusty shipped peppermint look good was a bit challenging.

So yummy! More like a shortbread-biscotti then a regular Italian biscotti, but still delicious dipped in my morning coffee! I packaged these in festive holiday bags and delivered them with my cookie trays this year--what a hit!

These are excellent dunked into coffee. I used high quality chocolate instead of the chocolate chips, and they are delicious.
