"My mother passed down this recipe to me, and I use it often to make fajitas. The lemon juice and soy sauce give it some zing."

DIRECTIONS
In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first seven ingredients; add steak. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate overnight.
If grilling the steak, coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray before starting the grill. Drain and discard marinade.
Grill steak, covered, over medium-hot heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 6-8 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145 degrees F; medium 160 degrees F; well-done, 170 degrees F). Thinly slice across the grain.

Very simple but delicious. We did use it in fajitas and it was perfect. I only marinated 3 hours but was very effective with that timing. Thank you.

This is a very good recipe. I followed the proportions of the steak marinade as instructed and it turned out very tasty. It had an excellent 'peppery' bite to it. If you like your marinade a bit spicy, may I suggest the addition of a small amount of hot chili powder to the mix to intensify the 'peppery' taste of the marinade. That being said, the marinade is fine as it is. Since I like my steak medium to well done, I broiled each side of the steak for 5 minutes each before broiling the first side once again for an additional 3 minutes. I will definitely make this recipe again.

My family and I enjoyed this recipe very much only made very minor changes to it. Unfortunately,I rated it a 4 is because the meat that I used had parts in it that was very hard to chew but other than that it was very delicious.
