I used thinly sliced vension backstaps....unbelieveable...I also double the garlic...we love garlic and added about 1/3 cup of italian dressing once we added the meat while cooking. And threw some hand shredded mozzarella on the mix once it was in the bun...pretty good actually.

I had a leftover filet that Hubs had grilled, so I used it to make this recipe. I brought the steak to room temperature, but I didn’t add it to the pan to re-heat it, as it was already perfectly medium-rare. I used a mix of red, yellow, orange and green bell peppers and I used mayonnaise instead of butter. I also added a slice a provolone and served this on a toasted asiago cheese bagel. Delicious!

My steak did not turn out so well and I am careful when cooking. Next time I think I'll go to the butcher. Overall a quick and easy meal.

Such a quick and easy recipe. I used the pre-sliced paper thin steak that I always find at Krogers/Scotts clearenced out for a dollar or two. This was good with a slice of cheese on top. I did add some mayo to my bun. I used whole wheat rolls that were also clearanced out at Krogers/Scotts.

Very good. My husband preferred his roll spread with mayo and a little Italian dressing poured over the top of the steak mixture.

I was disappointed in these sandwiches, especially after reading all the reviews that were so positive. I thought the sandwiches seemed like there was something missing - a little bland. We added cheese to them but that didn't do it. They weren't bad, just blah.

The steak was good and cooked exactly how my boyfriend likes it. I don't eat meat so I cannot personally comment but he said he loves it. The night before, I mixed green pepper, green onions and Italian dressing and marinated it overnight. I fried it in Wok and then grilled it! My boyfriend said it was great but the sandwich roll killed it. Maybe we got the wrong rolls because the bread dried out juice and the taste of the meat. Otherwise, it was great!

Fabulous. I just upload pics of a version I made with beefy style seitan in place of the sirloin/beef. So good. Though I used nearly 8 times the amount of pepper and topped with green chili cheese sauce using swiss and pepper jack. Woohoo.

Great recipe! I cooked up the meat and saved it to make as a quick lunch throughout the week. Thanks!

Perfect for a quick dinner! I used a combination of red and green peppers along with a vidalia onion. I sauteed the veggies in olive oil along with the garlic and then removed them from the pan. I partially froze the sirloin steak in order to slice it thin and cooked that in a bit of olive oil and garlic until done. I toasted the the rolls under the broiler and added a bit of cheese when assembling the sandwiches. I also opted to use "Garlic Aioli" from this site to spread of the top half of the roll. Easy and delicious!
