Made as written the first time and it was okay-good. Took JDowning's advice the second time I made this and started with pancetta and upped the vodka a bit - it made a huge delicious difference!

This is a delicous tomato sauce. It is different than other sauces because the vodka brings out other flavor compounds in the tomatoes. Very simple and makes a satisfying dinner.

Excellent recipe. I used spicy Italian sausage that was ground up (not in casing) and added extra garlic and red pepper flakes. I also used half and half and it was just as good and lower fat than heavy cream. I'll make it again and again! Thanks for a great recipe!

My husband LOVED this dish even though I managed to make lots of mistakes while making the dish (I forgot the sausage, used diced tomatoes with garlic and olive oil instead of crushed tomatoes, and half-and-half instead of cream). Fast and easy to prepare, great for weeknights, and turns out great when you're distracted and not following the recipe

We liked this one. My wife said next time I should double the amount of Italian sausage since 1 lb of pasta is a lot to cover for less than .5 pounds of the sausage. But it still tasted great.

This was excellant. I was surprised with the flavor of the sauce considering the short cooking time. With the exception of using ff cream I made the recipe exactly as written.
