Penne a la vodka is our favorite dish. This is the best version I have tried to make. I did not use any sausage but instead added sliced chicken breast and jumbo shrimp. As reccommended I at least doubled the amount of vodka and also added another Tbsp or so of cream. I topped it with fresh parmesan cheese. Next time we will add prosciutto

I am typically very fussy about my sauces and rarely find one I really love, but this one was wonderful! It tasted delicious and was very easy to make. The whole family loved it...we will definitely be making this again! Our only variations were light cream instead of heavy about double the peppers. It wasn't particulary spicy otherwise. Overall an excellent dish and one I will definitely be making again!

Tastyyy!! I used to purchase store bought vodka sauce and just add sausage to it, but the other day I caved and made it this way. Very good, I couldn't stop tasting the sauce! The only thing I changed was I used hot italian sausage, as I like mine very spicy. It came together beautifully, and quickly too. A simple dish that I will be making very often :) Thanks for sharing!

Very good. I used spicy sausage and a can of fire roasted diced tomatoes. The spicier the better for me. I will make this again.

Needed pancetta but otherwise very tasty. Left out the sausage because I love pancetta in my vodka sauce. I love the spicyness of the dish

This sauce was great! I made the Quick Gnocchi from this site and needed some sauce. I made this with turkey sausage and chopped spinach and once it was done, added a couple small palms of Parmesan cheese. Very good. I will make this sauce again.

Excellent sauce! I made mine vegetarian and it was delicious! Sauteed the garlic and red pepper flakes until the garlic was golden, added tomato paste as I don't like chunky pasta sauce, and added a little over 1/4 cup vodka. Otherwise I followed directions. The tomato paste definitely did not have enough liquid in it and the sauce was too thick, so I ended up adding an entire pint of heavy cream and nearly an entire pint of half and half. Tossed it with home made gnocchi and it had a delicious sweet taste to it. Makes a large batch so I froze half of it and have been using about 2 tablespoons of the sauce per serving of pasta. You don't need much of it at all!! Will definitely use crushed tomatoes next time instead of tomato paste.

This was excellent. Next time I'll add an extra sausage link to the recipe as well as some spinach and maybe a bit more cream.

This was very good! I made a few changes: I drained the grease from the sausage and I added a touch more cream, to reduce the spicyness of it. Other then that, it was great!

I really liked this recipe. After making it once though I made some minor changes. Used more sausage and used hot sausage rather than sweet. I doubled the crushed red pepper. I added spinach. Delicious!

Very good...I add onions in with the garlic, and use 3 or 4 turkey sausage links. Also, one can of tomatoes and one can of tomato sauce makes this a little creamier. And I use lowfat milk instead of heavy cream (need a little more than in the recipe)
