Wow, what a great dish! I worried that it might not have enough flavor, but I was so wrong! I love things cheesy so added more cheese than was suggested. My husband added red pepper flakes for an added kick. This moved to the front of my recipe box!

Very good. I added red peppers and some rosemary, oregano and Old Bay. My 1 1/2 year old loved it and so did my husband.

Light, but very satisfying. I followed this recipe, but used three cloves of garlic instead of one. Next time I will add mushrooms, or perhaps green onions.

This is a really good recipe. Very light and not heavy at all. This recipe does not have a sauce but that is what makes it so light and healthy. Just what I was looking for. The only changes I made to the recipe was adding extra garlic and adding other veggies that I love. Added frozen broccoli and mushrooms to the aspargus and cooked as suggested by recipe. WONDERFUL-WONDERFUL. This will be a new staple in my home! Thanks for the wonderful recipe!

This fits the bill for a tasty, healthy, easy recipe! I only give it four stars because there are twice as many noodles as are necessary. My family enjoyed this very much! and....I guess we're having penne with ragu tomorrow, lol!

I agree with previous reviews that this is a great base recipe to add to and is better suited to someone who already cooks or reads the other reviews first. I used whole wheat pasta, almost half the olive oil, cooked the chicken in several cloves of garlic and lots of onion. Even added some seasoning. Then at the end I added lots of fresh parsley and a tsp of crushed red pepper. I also added a bit of extra Parmesan. I didn't have asparagus so I used broccoli. It was great but I will try again with asparagus. My family loved the final product but I couldn't have done it without following previous reviewers advice.

i would definitely make this again. it was so light and yummy and i barely felt any guilt!!! i did add some crimini mushrooms, delicious! i do think the pasta had little flavor because the sauce was really light, but the veggies and chicken had tons of favor so try everything together before u salt it again. i found that the perfect proportions was for 16 oz penne, 2 whole breasts of chicken cubed, 1 cup of broth, a bunch of asaparagus, and a whole bag/box of precut mushrooms.

I was really looking forward to this dish, but was quite disappointed. I made it exactly as the recipe stated, and sampled it before serving (you have to make sure your food is good before you serve it:) I thought it was extremely bland and too dry for us, so I decided to throw a few more things in before I served it, without adding a ton more calories (after all, we are going for healthy...thus the making of this recipe). My tweaking it made it surprisingly more delightful than anticipated. In fact, I'm eating some right now as leftovers for lunch. Here's what I did: After tossing everything together at the end, as it calls for, I added about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of 1% milk, another handful of Parmesan cheese, and a small handful of fiesta blend shreeded cheese, as well. I turned the burner back on and stirred that all together until cheese was melted (the milk just kind of soaked right up...made it a little bit creamy). I'm not one to change recipes, but this one needed help. It was probably a 3 1/2 after it was all said and done...and still healthy.

I was so excited to try this recipe and highly disappointed!! Made as directed except added more garlic...I liked it more then hubby - but nothing to write home about!! Sorry - but won't make again! Thanks anyway - I am always looking to try something new!!

This was easy and delicious. Only changes - I quickly pounded the chicken breasts (I used 3) and upped the liquid to 1/2 cup chicken broth. Everything else was as written - Kids and adults enjoyed every bite. Great recipe!

I had never put asparagus in a pasta before, so this was an new experience. I was surprisingly delighted--as were my husband and kids! I highly recommend this meal. I only used 14 oz. whole wheat penne, and still had plenty!
