thought this recipe was just ok. even used fresh garlic instead of powder...added some white wine when cooking the chicken as well as shallot. perhaps should of halved the pasta like other users recommended. i did up the broth like others recommended. added some fresh parsley at the end. i wouldn't throw recipe away...but most probably would not make again. just no 'wow' factor to it, but decent enough for making a quick meal

Great light meal, with a few modifications. As others did, I sauteed the chicken with garlic and spices to add flavor, added mushrooms and onions, and increased the amount of parmesan to 1/3 cup and mixed it into the pasta before serving. Filling but not heavy. We'll add this to our regular rotation.

I made this for 4 and we loved it! When I cooked the chicken I just added garlic salt and pepper and kept adding it until it tasted good enough to eat by itself. It helps that I really like chicken cooked that way to begin with. I also added fresh mushrooms and some artichoke hearts to the asparagus which worked out really well. This is a keeper!

This is BEST recipe I have found on this webpage. My husband and I absolutely love it. I make it at least once a week. It makes two very hearty meals for just the two of us. It is delicious without making any changes to the original recipe.

I really enjoyed this. It is light and simple, but still filling. As far as specific tips and/or ingredients go, I am not sure because I had to stay at work late and my boyfriend made it...maybe that added to the taste? :)

I'd say I amplified the flavor of this recipe a bit by adding 1/4 onion and 2 cloves of garlic to the chicken while it cooked. Yummy simple dish!

cooked penne in chicken broth/stock Grilled asparagus and chicken w/ garlic oil marinade. Topped it w/ Lemon juice. Everyone liked it. (Asparagus optional for the kids)

It was a little bland. We did enjoy it, but had to continue seasoning after serving. I even marinated the chicken in balsamic dressing for about 2-3 hrs prior to sauteeing. Added red peppers and add'l garlic to the saute, too. In the broth, added frozen spinach and peas. Extra parm at end. Still, a bit bland. I suggest (and will try) including shallots or onions with the garlic next time.

Wow, what a great dish! I worried that it might not have enough flavor, but I was so wrong! I love things cheesy so added more cheese than was suggested. My husband added red pepper flakes for an added kick. This moved to the front of my recipe box!
