Crust was a little mushy, but the flavor was fantastic. Next time I'll pre-bake a bit longer.

Absolutely scrumptious! If you are a pecan pie fan you will love these and so much faster/easier than if you were to make a pie using your own crust. The result is superb. I took them to a Halloween potluck at work and got rave reviews and was asked numerous times for the recipe. So addicting!!! Even better the next day! I used dark corn syrup since it was what I had in hand and only one cup. The pan I used is the one for Lasagna and it was great. I will try it again on Thanksgiving and use the full measure next time to decide which I like best but I don't really know if you can improve on perfection. Thank you Sylvia for sharing your wonderful recipe.

Delicious!! If you do not have a15x10x1pan, do not put the full amount of filling onto a 9x13. Even if you cut back the corn syrup 1C. The center will not get done. I had to throw out about 10 squares. I baked my second batch in 2 8x8 glass pans. I still only used 1c corn syrup. Turned out perfect. Still bake 20-25 minutes.

Although this recipe was very good in taste, I had a very hard time cutting them into the perfect squares as pictured. It comes out more of a gooey mess. I will just stick to a pecan pie.

These were delicious as written, but I found the center ones a bit on the fall-apart gooey side. Maybe they should be made in a 9x13 pan, or make an extra half-batch of crust - OR, maybe I should just bake them longer next time. These will be a MUST at the holidays!

WOW! This was amazing! I love the flavor of pecan pie, but have always thought the middle was too gooey. This fixes that! I surprised my husband with this recipe since his favorite is pecan pie. These lasted only 2 days! Amazing. I made them as written with no issues. Excellent, even the kids who have refused the pie on prior holidays ate them up!

Yum! Just like pecan pie - only easier. I followed other reviewers and cut down on the corn syrup as well. I had put them in the freezer so I would stop eating them. Didn't work. I just discovered that they taste even better out of the freezer!

I have made a similar recipe that used a yellow cake mix as the base and in the filling. I like this recipe much better. I too put this in a 9x13 and reduced the syrup to a cup. I also used brown sugar (less sugar) for the filling instead of white. The only thing I did not like was that it does get overly brown around the edges and you have to bake it that long to get the filling done. Overall a yummy recipe - this bar went faster than the chocolate chip bars I made!

SO GOOD! I only had about 1 1/2 cups of nuts, so to make up the difference, I added chocolate chips. I also made it in a 9x13, so I had to bake it about 6 or 7 minutes longer. It turned out really good, and I can't wait to make it again...with or without the chocolate chips!

These were wonderful! They are easy to prepare and you get so much! I followed the recipe, except that I sprinkled some pecan "cookie pieces" on top of the filling prior to second baking. My husband (a pecan freak) LOVED these. Chewy and delicous - a definite keeper!

Made these this weekend for a party and everyone raved. They were delicious. I would have given 5 stars but they were a little messy, i.e. I had to cut big squares or they wanted to fall apart. Might help to back them a bit longer to get the filling to set better and make sure the pecans are chopped small.

I wanted a pecan pie recipe to make for a large group, and this worked out perfectly. The two trays I made were eaten up quickly, and we were practically licking the pan!

Way way too sweet and sticky for us. No one ate them and I ended up throwing them out. A shame because I like Pecan Pie.

OMG these are so good. We wanted Pecan Pie but I hate making pies. This was really easy to throw together. The only thing I did different was to use Splenda for Baking in place of the sugar.
