This recipe was wonderful! I recieced many compliments. The substitution of the 1 cup of ground pecans for 1 cup of cake flour actually was a stoke of genius and made this cake special.. My congrats to Ms Resnick, this is an excellent cake... Abigailew- Pensacola,Florida

Other than having trouble getting the cake to come out of the pan (maybe because I only greased it and didn't flour it), this cake was superb! Easy to make, didn't use as much butter as some other pound cake recipes and wonderful taste. Everyone at work loved it. :) It was my first time trying to bake with ground pecans instead of flour and a coworker I aksed had only used it IN ADDITION TO and not INSTEAD OF flour, but it worked out beautifully (I had used only 1/2 cup because I was afraid it may not work...)!

The best pound cake I have ever made. This will be the only pound cake recipe I will use over and over again. I loved how the outside of the cake didn't get that dark cause of the low oven tempurature. Thanks for sharring your prise winning cake Carole. From Niblet

This was so yummy and sweet. I loved the pecan topping. We served it with strawberries and whipped cream and it was a hit with adults and kids.

I really don't see any difference between this recipe and one for sour cream pound cake except a few pecans on the bottom of the pan. Don't get me wrong, it's a good recipe, it rises nicely, I just wonder how it would taste with pecans in the cake mix itself?

I have made good pound cakes in the past and love trying new recipes but I have never gotten so many compliments like I have with this recipe. A must try and after you make it the first time, it's a breeze to make.

Great recipe, made it for Thanksgiving dinner and it was a huge hit!!I used walnuts instead of the pecans and it was just deliciuos. I highly recommend this cake.Stays nice and moist 5 days later.

I don't know if this will work or not -- I'm just adding to my earlier review. Here's a tip -- add the same amount of lemon extract as vanilla extract for just a touch of lemon and it is excellent. My original review follows: This is definitely the best cake I've ever made. I could have eaten the whole cake myself - it came up so nicely. I love sock-it-to-me cake and have made red velvet cakes as well, but this is now my favorite!
