I made 1 loaf and 1 1/2 dozen muffins out of the batter. The muffins baked in 20 minutes. I followed the directions exactly, except I did not add the pecans. The muffins were excellent. Nice and moist. My co-workers loved them. I will definitely make this again.

Great, moist recipe. I used this recipe in mini loaf pans for gift giving. Using the smaller pans, I still had to bake the given time. Very good recipe! Thanks for sharing

A must-take on fishing trips. Freezes well. My version calls for 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1 tsp. nutmeg instead of the listed spices. Here's a great glaze for it: 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup packed brown sugar, 1/4 cup heavy cream, 2/3 cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla. Combine butter, brown sugar, and cream in saucepan. Cook until sugar is dissolved. Cool for 20 minutes. Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over loaves.
