Wow!! These are exactly how I remember them growing up. The only think I changed was to add 2 tbs more of the confectioners sugar to the batter to sweeten it up a bit because when I tasted the dough it tasted not quite sweet enough. Excellent!

I made these for a party. Every cookie was eaten and I will certainly make these again..My husband asked me to add some cinnamon with the confectionary sugar to roll them in and he preferred his that way...I thought they were wonderful either way....

This is a wonderful recipe and easy to make. If you are into the not as sweet type recipe then this is the one to make. Everyone that tried these thought they were absolutely tasty...

These cookies have a very dry, soft, crumbly texture so they may not be good for those of us who like crisper cookies. However they have the right amount of sweetness and the pecans give it a nice flavor. I powdered the pecans rather than chopping them up to make the dough easier to work with. I also dusted the finished cookies with confectioners' sugar rather than rolling them in it - that way you don't get it all over your fingers. :o)
