1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
3 eggs
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups chopped pecans
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
3 2/3 cups confectioners' sugar

DIRECTIONS
In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, 1 egg and butter. Stir in pecans; mix well. Press into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar and remaining eggs until smooth. Pour over pecan mixture. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45-55 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack; cut into squares. Store in the refrigerator.

Quick and easy with what you have lying around. I used chocolate cake mix. Next time, though I would probably increase the cream cheese to two packs and drop the sugar to two cups. I was looking for more of a cheesecake flavor, but it wasn't too noticeable as is.

These are super easy and really good! I substituted the yellow cake for a lemon cake mix (didn't have the yellow on hand) and they were still super yummy! Thanks for the recipe!

I made this because my husband needed something last-minute for a potluck and I happened to have all the ingredients on hand. It was delicious! It was eaten up quickly. I left it in the oven closer to 50 minutes....at 45 minutes it was golden brown on top but very gooey in the middle. YUM!
