Ingredients

  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen peas
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 (4.5 ounce) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Cook peas according to package directions; drain. set aside and keep warm.
  2. In a skillet, saute almonds in butter until lightly browned. Remove with a slotted spoon; add to peas. In the same skillet, saute mushrooms and onion until tender; add to peas. Season with salt and pepper.
