Used Neufchatel instead of regular cream cheese since it is lower in fat. Couldn't taste the difference! Even better with strawberry jello and crushed pineapple.

This wasn't bad but normally when I have this around the holidays, there's just a tray of lime jello with pears molded into it, so to make it my way you would make the lime jello, put it in a tray, put the pears in and refrigerate until done! It's so good and not as fattening because there's no cream cheese in it. I thought the cream cheese in it made it too much. Maybe I'm just used to having it my way!

I used strawberry gelatin since I didn't have lime, and it was very good. My husband loved it.

This is known as "Green Salad" in my partner's family, and they insist on having it at every holiday. (I'm not kidding!) As someone that doesn't really like the texture/taste of pears, I like this salad. We typically go lighter, using lowfat cream cheese, sugar free gelatin, low fat whipped topping, and light pears. I like that better than the full fat, sugared version, and I feel less guilty about indulging in dessert.
