Great recipe. Modified it based on what I had. Used 5 tiny ripe pears and an apple. 1 tablespoon sugar and 2 tablespoons brown sugar. Walnuts too and baked the full time. Easy crisp recipe and tastes great.

The flavor of this dish was nice, sweet and subtle...but the dish does need some tweaking. There was way too much liquid, and the topping needed more butter as there were dry spots in the crumble. Might make again, but would make changes, maybe use pears that aren't quite ripe to decrease the liquid.

Not great. Wouldn't make this again. Not enough butter and just not enough taste.

Very good! Easy, of course, and tastey and perfect for fall. I skipped the nuts, because I didn't have any and am not found of them in desserts.

I'll used this recipe again. Quick and easy to make. I used canned pears, but I think fresh would be best. Have some vanilla ice cream handy!

Loved this recipe, I did change it to the following: I had 3 pears that needed eating along with 2 small papayas. I added these with 1 tsp cinamon and ginger only. It was great!! thank you for the idea you created.

Very yummy but very sweet. I tried it with brown sugar instead of white and used a little bit less than called for.
