I changed this a bit. I used an apple, raisins, chopped pecans, and a few blueberries. Just a hint of nutmeg along with the cinnamon. My family loved it.

Taste was good, but there was SO much liquid in the bottom. I'd suggest adding flour like others have mentioned.

I jazzed this up. Add a pinch of table salt to the topping and a sprinkle of lemon juice over the fruit. Then I put a couple of springs of fresh rosemary on the bottom to give it a fabulous earthy essence from the herb.

Good for a last minute dessert for hubby and I. I used canned pears and frozen blueberries ... and all worked out OK.

This was really good with a combination of pears and frozen raspberries. I thought the flavors worked really well together. the only thing I would change would be the amount of topping. I may try doubling the amount given the next time I make this. Other than that, this dessert was totally quick, easy and delicious, and my mom and I both liked it a lot.

Great recipe. My husband loves this one. During peach season, I use peaches instead of pears.

Totally simple. A good thing to make when you want a baked dessert, but don't want to put too much effort into it. I actually used nectarines (approx. 2 cups) with the topping (which I doubled). You could pretty much use any fruit. I think the topping could have been a little sweeter, but it was generally good and hit the spot.

This is a delicious and easy recipe! My husband always asks for this dessert over everything else! I mix it up and use various fruits. I often multipy the recipe to make a bigger batch. Thanks for the recipe!

I had two large very ripe pears on my counter and blueberries in the freezer, so this recipe was the perfect fit! I made it exactly as written except that I doubled everything and it fed my family of four. I made it in a glass 8x8 pan and it turned out great. Thanks!
