Peanut Butter and Sliced Grape Checkerboard Sandwich

"Checkerboard sandwiches are made with two kinds of bread. Create the fun checkerboard pattern by cutting the sandwich in quarters and flipping over two of the four sections. For this peanut butter and grape sandwich, make the checkerboard with white and whole wheat breads."

Original Recipe Yield 1 sandwich
 

Ingredients

  • 1 slice white bread
  • 1 slice whole wheat bread
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 4 red or green seedless grapes, sliced crosswise

Directions

  1. Spread one slice of bread with the peanut butter. Top with the grape slices and the second slice of bread. Trim crusts if desired and cut sandwich into triangles or squares. Before wrapping sandwich, turn over two of the quarters to form a checkerboard pattern.
