These were great! My extremely finicky Jack Russel loved them--as did her not so picky sister! I cut them into bone shapes and baked them about 40 minutes (the perfect time for the size I made). These were so easy, I'll make them for all my friend's dogs for Christmas!

My puppy LOVED these! They were really easy to make, I used my hands to mix everything and knead it together so there wasn't much water used. I baked the FULL 45 minutes so they came out great and crunchy! Will definitely keep making them for my puppy!!

I loved these and used a pumpkin cookie cutter and made an orange colored egg wash and sold them at a bake sale. Very cut. My dogs preferred the beefy flavored treats but still ate these up too!

These are great! I made these and the "Dog Treats I" on the same day, and my pooch greatly prefers these. They took the full amount of time to bake even though I used tiny cookie cutters, but were very easy to cut. Now that I know how easy it is to make dog treats, I'm never buying them again!

My dog loves these. They do take a long time to cook and they are hard to cut like the directions say so i just mold them with my hands. I make a double batch and refrigerate them.

My dogs liked these treats, but they rather have meaty treats it seems. They liked these treats way more than store bought biscuits!

This is a great "corn-free" dog treat recipe! By the look of the three dogs staring at me while I make them, I think its safe to say they are a hit! I make treats every two weeks and came across this one to try this time. I'm glad I did. The dough was perfect and easy to work with. I followed recipe as written except left out the salt and brushed with egg before baking. Fabulous!

My pooch LOVES these! I made the mistake of letting him taste the dough and he ended up in the kitchen watching me the whole time I rolled them out and shaped them. He liked the baked versions just as much.

I made these a few weeks ago and my dog really enjoyed them. I just rolled them into little balls and squished them down, like thumb print cookies.

I made these for my dogs and dog guests for a doggie DNA party. I upped the pumpkin to 1 cup and the peanut butter to 1/2 cup. I used no salt or cinnamon. I rolled them and cut them into various shapes (hearts, dog bones, dog houses, etc.) and baked at 350 degrees for 12 minutes--they would have burnt to a crisp after 40. They smelled nice (I didn't try them) and the dogs LOVED them. Six different dogs all tried these, ranging from Chihuahua, Collie, mixed breeds, Lab, and Akita and they ALL loved them. Not one dog turned them down, even the picky Chihuahua. 100%, I will make these again. Thanks for sharing this healthy and natural dog treat recipe!

Thank you so much for this wonderful recipe. My daughter & g'daughters dogs as well as ours LOVE these treats, so much healthier for them that the type you buy in the store. I did use 1/2 cup peanut butter and used a full can of pure pumpkin, also added 1/2 cup of applesauce. These are a definite hit with my Chihuahua; she begs for them and ignores her Yip Yaps now.

My dog loves these and really enjoyed getting to eat the "cookie batter" while I was making them. I didn't have trouble with the batter being too dry, but that may be because I mixed it by hand at the end. If you knead like bread it it comes together quite nicely.

My dog loved these and I was delighted to be able to use up left over pumpkin from a ferret food recipe. BE SURE TO BUY PUMPKIN NOT PUMPKIN PIE FILLING WHICH HAS SUGAR IN. I didn't add the salt either. Thanks for sharing. Heidi says thank you too.

I made these for my pet sitting customers and got rave reviews! Everyone loved them and they even asked for the recipe! One thing I did different was I rolled out the dough and cut it with bone shaped cutters. Then I cooked them for 20 minutes.

Two suggestions: (1) don't even TRY to "whisk" these ingredients together, and (2) they should have listed "water" in the ingredients list; it's key. Treat this recipe as pie dough - put everything but the water in your stand mixer bowl (I hope you have one - it works wonders!) and mix, then add water a TBSP at a time until the dough pulls together and is "workable." Then, dump the dough out and roll it. I didn't need to add more pumpkin or peanut butter or anything - this was a very easy recipe. (I forgot to add the salt, but I don't think the dog minded!) I cut the dough into tiny Christmas shapes before baking. I think I need to play around with the baking temps and times, because like my first dog biscuit attempt, I couldn't get these do be totally 100% dry and crunchy. Mind you, the dog still loved them and treated them like "special treats," taking them to another room to enjoy.

My three dogs love these. I sometimes substitute apple jelly instead of peanut butter for a bit of a variety. Love the comments. Didn't know that pumpkin helps dogs not eat poop. Good to know....=)

I don't know how accurately I can rate these, since I'm not a dog. :o) I made them for our friend's puppy, and he seemed to like them. I omitted the cinnamon. I used small cookie cutters in the shape of a dog bone and a star (for Christmas). I put them in a dog treat jar and tied the cookie cutter and the recipe onto the jar with a ribbon. They were really easy to make and came out looking like professionally-made dog treats. Would definitely recommend.
