Original Recipe Yield 8 sandwiches
 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 16 slices SARA LEE® Soft & Smooth™ Whole Grain White Bread
  • 8 tablespoons JIF® Crunchy Peanut Butter
  • 8 tablespoons SMUCKER'S® Preserves or Jam, any flavor or combination of flavors

Directions

  1. Preheat broiler. Position oven rack approximately 6 inches from heat source.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Spread peanut butter on unbuttered side of 8 slices of bread, jelly on the other 8, and combine to make 8 sandwiches. Arrange all 8 sandwiches on a baking sheet.
  3. Broil sandwiches 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until lightly browned.
