I like to think of myself as open to new flavors and different combinations but the taste of this recipe bothered me. It didn't taste "right" for me. I do appreciate everyone who is willing to share their recipies though..so ..thanks.

I am giving this 3 stars. Why? Well simply because most of these reviews say you wont notice the peanut butter, but that is ridiculous. It is a quite obvious flavor. I added some more chicken stock and some curry, even then it was very obvious... Not to say it was bad, just that if you think you are going to sneak this by someone who doesnt like peanut butter-- HA HA Good Luck. I did however enjoy this soup.

I love soup! I had alot of fresh broccoli and decided to try this recipe. There were a few vegetables that I left out. I browned the chicken first then put everything in the crockpot. I cooked it on high for 3 hours. I also added some brown rice on a whim the last 30 minutes. If you like spice, add some red pepper flakes and asian chile sauce. I can't wait to eat this again tomorrow! You won't notice the peanut butter!

This is now a repeat in my menu planning. Everyone loves it exactly as written. I am going to try adding some spice to it to enhance a Thai sort of flavor that this soup suggests.

I wanted to try this with what I had on hand, which was chicken stock, celery, broccoli slaw with shredded carrots, chopped cooked chicken, garlic, chunky peanut butter, and spicy tomato juice. I added some fresh basil and cilantro from the yard, tossed in some hot sauce (cholula or tapatio) at the end, and it was perfect-- spicy, nutty, tomato-y, and yummy! I halved the broth because we had less veggies. Can't wait to try again with the "right" recipe. :)

Very good recipe! I didn't use broccoli or celery and I added a couple teaspoons of red curry paste. We loved the peanut flavor in the soup. Next time I'll up the amounts of carrots, potatoes and chicken...the soup was a little too much broth. But good recipe. Thanks!

Excellent for something a little different - I didn't use green pepper but added cut up green beans. I added some chopped jalapeno for heat with some Spice Island Thai seasoning and that really brought it to life - I agree may have been bland without the seasoning, but with it was really wonderful - will make again.

This soup was awesome!! i was kind of scared at first about putting peanut butter in, but it gives it just enough flavor and is not too overwhelming. definitely a great twist if you're tired of the same old chicken/vegetable soups!! it takes a little longer to prepare due to cutting up all the vegetables if you buy everything fresh, but it is worth the time if you have it!

AMAZING! Super easy and so flavorful! I added an extra clove of garlic and 1/2 cup of yellow squash. I used canned tomatoes with green chilis, and omitted the green peppers and potatoes (because I didn't have them). The peanut butter really did something magical and I have been raving about it to everyone since I made it 3 nights ago! I will definitley make again!

Great soup! I added fresh spinach at the end and a dash of curry powder along with sweet potatoes, and it was wonderful. I actually made it with ground turkey instead of the chicken for a different twist and my toddlers goggled it up (me too).

Well worth trying - the peanut butter really adds something! I've made this a couple of times. The first time I followed the directions the second time I included leftover turkey and Thanksgiving vegetables (carrots, parsnips, sweet potato). It's a very forgiving recipe - I think you can use what's on hand.

Very good soup. Giving it a 4 star because you do have to add more spices then calling for to give it flavor. But after that my family loved it!

This was different and interesting. I was hoping it would have more of a thai flavor, but it didn't at all. I'll try it again and make a few adjustments and additions. Oh, and this recipe makes a TON! I'll cut it in half next time!
