This was my first try at a soup recipe and I'm so pleased with the results. I prepared the recipe as directed except I didn't have the canned tomatoes or green pepper on hand. We loved it! I can't believe how easy it is to make a great chicken soup. Thank you!

this was very very good. i used the food processor for carrots and onions and some of the potatoes which initially i thought made the carrots and potatoes too small, however in the end added to a thicker stew-like soup which was absolutely delicious!! also added brown rice, which made it thicker (personally i like thick soup). as many previous, adding cayenne is a must.

This recipe is great as is! It's also a great starting point for customizing to what you have on hand or individual tastes. Thank you so much, this will be used again and again.

This soup was surprisingly good! My husband, five year old and two year old ate it up. I only added 1/4 cup of peanut butter for fear of making it too peanutty but I think that I could have used 1/2 cup as the recipe was written. There was just a hint of peanut flavor but if you didn't know what was that it was in there, you wouldn't have known. My five year and husband enjoyed their soup even more with a little dash of cayenne pepper.

While the soup doesn't taste like peanut butter, it also doesn't taste special. The peanut butter adds extra oil and salt, which helps the flavor of the soup overall. I felt like this soup needed was missing something.

My family enjoyed this. It was a nice change from the ordinary chicken broth. We didn't have all the vegetables, and it still turned out well. We'll make this again.

This is a very hearty soup; I love all the vegetables. I thought it needed some spicing up though. I added cumin, thyme, and a little cayenne pepper. I'll make it again; it was a big hit with my family.

Excellent! I added turkey instead of chicken and also added some orzo and napa cabbage and tasted awesome. Will make again! Thanks!

Excellent!! The only thing I did not like was the broccoli was mushy. Next time, I plan on putting the fresh uncooked broccoli in each bowl and poring the soup on top of it. I also added one jalapeno pepper.. I might add two next time.

Made this last night. The only change I made was in adding larger quantities of veggies and a dash of cayenne. Absolutely love the taste. DH wasn't sure when I said we were having PB chicken soup but loved it too!

Yes, I was just as concerned as everyone else when it told me to put in 1/4 cup of peanut butter, but in went the Jif. Wow, it tastes GREAT. Really hearty soup. I didn't have potatoes on hand so I threw in extra zucchini, corn, and even brussel sprouts and it turned out great.

Delicious! This recipe was so very good. I hate when people rate recipes 5 stars after they adjust so much that really they are posting a new recipe. I made this recipe exactly as given and thought it was fantastic. True you could add different veggies or add more spice here and there. But, I found this recipe to be a comforting, delicious soup just as is was. Some of my family added more salt to their own bowls or added hot sauce as they like to do, but overall it was thoroughly enjoyed just as is. Thank you! It really hit the spot on this cold November evening.

This can be altered easily to make a vegetarian version, and seems fairly adaptable for ingredients on hand, too.

Love peanut soup!! I put some jalapeno and cayenne pepper in mine cause i like it spicy! To go Thai on this one add a little coconut milk and a fresh squeezed lime at the end. But it is wonderful like this!! You can be creative with the veggies in this one! Thank you for this great soup!!

This recipe was so easy and delicious! I never and I mean NEVER cook and this turned out GREAT!! I give it a four because my husband (who does cook and has a much better taste for things) gave it a 6 out of 10. I had to substitue some veggies and still loved it. I ate it with corn muffins as suggested by another person and it went very well with this.

I wasn't quite sure about this recipe so I made a 2 serving batch first. I would give this 5 stars if peanut butter was less fattening. I followed this recipe using the fast chicken soup base made from the rotissery chicken. I didn't have some of the vegetables but I don't think it matters. I really liked it and would not hesitate adding peanut butter to a chicken soup again except that the grams of fat is very high. If the fat content isn't an issue with you, give this a try. The peanut butter thickened the broth up just enough and I don't think I would have guessed there was peanut butter in the recipe if I had been served this soup by someone else.
