white corn syrup
1 (16 ounce) jar
crunchy peanut butter
milk chocolate chips
very good - the kids all gobbled them up and asked for more. VERY easy to make. If yours got hard, it's because you let the sugar/syrup boil too long. Once it comes to a boil, take it off of the heat (the peanut butter still mixes nicely). My nephew said this is better than a Butterfinger. I might like a little more cornflake in it - I will use more cornflakes next time to test. Fun, easy, and good.
These were easy to make, but you gotta love peanut butter. They didn't really taste like Butterfingers to me and did not go over well with my six and four year olds.
These are awesome!! I made 2 batches. The first one, I went by the recipe, the second, I used 1/3 cup of the corn syrup and 2/3 cup of powdered sugar with just a dash of vanilla. They came out deliciously, chewy, oowie good!
These are good and chewy - a little too sweet. I had some melted chocolate I wanted to use and an open box of corn flakes that was getting neglected when I found this recipe. I was worried that they would taste 'cornflakey,' but they are just totally peanut buttery. I put a little more chocolate on the top than called for to use what I had. You'll want to cut them smallish, as they are very rich and sweet - and addictive. Thanks for the recipe! :)
these are great and easy to make! Love peanut buttery flavor. make sure you eat them at room temp to be able to chew them. Some people seem confused on the name--they are called peanut butter fingers not peanut butterfingers. I don't think the recipe writer thought they were like the candy bars at all. :) just a thought.
Couldn't be easier and delicious, too! These went like hotcakes. I crushed the cornflakes down a bit (not pulverized) and measured my 3 cus that way. Also used creamy peanut butter - Great!
Very easy, and very similar to eating a butterfinger candy bar. I made these up quick while dinner was cooking which was good because I didn't have any space in the oven. First bite I didn't feel like it tasted like butterfinger, but once you start chewing it does. Yum! I ate many and usually can control myself when I make tasty treats, but not with this one :).
These were very good. I followed other suggestions and turned off the heat on the sugar mixture as soon as it came to a boil. I also replaced 1/2 cup of the milk chocolate with semisweet chocolate chips.
