I followed the recipe exactly with one exception - 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips instead of 1 cup semi-sweet. I found the texture of these cookies (I used unsalted butter) to be wonderful and the peanuts from the chunky peanut butter and the old fashioned oats were perfect. Oh, I did chill the dough for a bit since I was using butter and didn't want to run the risk of them spreading too much while baking. Really a great recipe - thank you!

HEAVENLY! The taste of these cookies is wonderful. What makes them top-notch is the texture, though. Crunchy bits of peanuts and oatmeal gives them body. I made it almost as written, except I added a bit extra PB and used milk-chocolate chips since I like them better and that's what I had.

My boyfriend and I just made and ate these cookies and we LOVED them! We followed the recipe exactly and used chunky peanut butter. The peanuts in the peanut butter added a wonderful crunch to the final result. Our oven bakes pretty quickly so we made sure to take them out after only 8 minutes. After letting them cool a little bit, the cookies were chewy and moist with crunchy edges=perfection. We'll definitely make these again!

These are awesome! I love the flavor and texture - I used creamy peanut butter, as it's what I had on hand and personally prefer. Also subbed PB chips for the chocolate chips... I tend to dislike PB cookies as they are usually drier... these were wonderfully chewy and had a great texture, which I assume is due to the addition of 1/2 cup of oatmeal. This is a great new go-to recipe I will use again!

Super easy and super delicious. I will make these again and again and again. I used margarine, crunchy peanut butter and a mix of white and dark chocolate chips. I wouldn't change a thing!!

I, like many other reviewers, used butter instead of margarine and creamy peanut butter instead of crunchy, as that's what I had on hand. These were wonderful! Will definitely make these again. **UPDATE** I made these again with crunchy peanut butter and it was even better!

Very, very good! I used butter, not margarine, creamy peanut butter and chunks instead of chips. They are moist, tasty with just enough peanut butter. Watch the time on cooking - everyone seems to have a variation on the baking time. Mine were around 15 minutes - done, but not overcooked. My family said to "make these again!" Thanks Clarice for a great cookie recipe!

I've cooked for hubs enough years to know that when he is "Mmmmmmmm-ing" as he's eating something that's a two thumbs up, five stars, and worth a thousand words. I used butter, not margarine, creamy peanut butter, not chunky, and semi-sweet chocolate chunks, not chocolate chips. The old fashioned oats provide a rustic texture, and butter can't be beat for richness and taste. The peanut butter flavor is mild and pleasant, and hubs said the big chunks of chocolate is what made these so particularly good. As I do with all cookie doughs with butter, I chilled the dough about an hour to prevent excessive spreading. I used a medium cookie scoop, flattened the mounds slightly, and after 14 minutes had beautiful, perfectly shaped cookies.

My husband said these were the best peanut butter cookies he has ever eaten. I followed the recipe to a T only I used smooth low fat peanut butter and a couple tablespoons of chopped peanuts because I didn't have chunky style peanut butter on hand. They were delicious!

Very good...too good...I've eaten way too many! The only thing I did differently was to use smooth peanut butter and I added a bit more than the recipe called for to give it more peanut butter flavour, and I threw in some cashew pieces. My family LOVES them, these cookies are very very very good.

These cookies were really good except I would only bake them for 8 minutes, not 10-12. My cookies were fairly large but even still, 10 minutes was too long. Sadly I cut the recipe in half (I was running short on butter) and it only made 1.5 batches, and the first batch wasn't as good since they were overcooked. The last few cookies turned out terrific though!

Amazing. This recipe was so easy and quick to make. Definitely a keeper. My cookies were not crumbly like previous people said. I imagine they get crumbly if you cook them for too long so they dry out. I will definitely be making these again...

Absolutely fantastic! I will definitely make these again and again. The only change I will make next time is to double the recipe, because this made fewer cookies than most of my other cookie recipes.
