Original Recipe Yield 1 - 9x5 inch loaf
 

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup skim milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Use a fork to blend in peanut butter and oil. Add egg and milk; mix well. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
