This is very tasty. I love the crust, but the heavy syrup in the peaches made this one a little too sweet for me.

Very simple and very good. I melted the butter. And placed half the cake mix on the top and half on the bottem.

This recipe is amazing and kids love it. I made it for high school kids and they have requested it repeatedly and it is soooo easy to make not to mention very inexpensive. I sprinkle the cinnamon on top the peaches and on top the cake mix. I also add about 2 tablespoons of brown sugar which I sprinkle on the peaches too before adding the cake mix.

Quick and easy recipe. Save time and output is great. The mix sense of Peach and Cinnamon get along very well.

I made this and I didn't drain the peaches because the directions didn't say to, and it was completely watered down and didn't taste very good. I had very high hopes for it because it smelled absolutely divine while it was baking. I dumped in two cans of peaches, sprinkled the dry cake mix on top and then sliced up butter all over the top and baked. The top (crumble) tasted awesome, but it didn't really absorb that much of the liquid and I think even more liquid came out of the peaches too. The crisp top was basically just floating like a big crispy island on the liquid. After letting it sit a while to cool it did start to absorb some of the liquid but now it's a big soggy mess with still some excess liquid in the bottom.

My family loves dump cake and we were dying to try this one. I changed the peaches in heavy syrup to a no sugar one and melted the butter ahead of time to pour it over the cake mix. Those tips were very helpful, thank you. I've been asked to make this again and to send to a work related gathering. Awesome version!

I agree with another reviewer: I, too, spend a great deal of time baking fancy desserts from scratch, and this one, which was so incredibly simple and done in about 5 minutes, got just as many raves as my intricate and time-consuming recipes. I didn't have peach jello, so I used a watermelon fusion type, and it was still terrific. I also used two cans of peaches, one in light syrup and one in heavy syrup, and used the liquid from the light peaches. It was sweet but not overpoweringly so. I'm definitely going to try some other dump cake recipes.

This cake was pretty good - not bad but not fantastic, hence my middle-of-the-road 3-star rating. It was super easy - my husband thought I was crazy just dumping everything into the pan without mixing it! I drained about half of the juice from the peaches, just so they weren't swimming in it, but still felt like this cake was a bit soggy. Putting cinnamon on the peaches definitely helped the flavor. We ate this and enjoyed it well enough, but probably not enough to make it again. But thanks, though - it was a fun experiment! :)

Sooo Good! Make sure to loosen the clumps in the cake mixture before dumping it on top of peaches or you'll get hard-ish clumps of cake in a bite. Although so delicious, I think next time I'll use 3 cans of peaches (in heavy syrup) but drain one can. Using salted butter helps cut the sweetness a bit. Have a big ol glass of cold milk on hand!!!

This recipe deserves a 5 star for being easy and fast, but a 4 star for creativity. I have been making what my small children called "Dumptruck cake" for years. You can use every kind of filling. Cherry and Pineapple mixed together is good. With apple pie filling, I add oats and cinnamon. Fruit cocktail is good. You can even do pumpkin at Thanksgiving time. Just follow the pie recipe for your pumpkin, then throw your topping on. Like a previous person said, you can change the type of cake mix you use, but I like yellow cake the best. Things you can add to change it, nuts, cinnamon, brown sugar, oats, coconut, ect. This is the dessert I make when I have "short notice" about company. Or if I'm too busy to get fancy!!

I thougt this was pretty good - I added brown sugar on top of the peaches, maybe a little too much. It came out pretty sweet. But my husband loved it & wants me to make it again

Love this! So fast and so good! I do add another can of peaches, drained, so we have lots of fruit and I use the kind in juice or lite syrup. I have had no trouble with "dust" on top. It's come out with a crisp topping every time!
