We really enjoyed this. I added some brown sugar to the top of the cake mix, about 1/4 cup, and sprinkled with cinammon, too. I also melted the butter and drizzled it over the top rather than chopping it. Very yummy!!!

I used "Lightly Sweetened" peaches. As others suggested, I melted the butter before putting it on, but still had to go back and add a few pats in dry spots. I also sprinkled some brown sugar on right before the butter, but I can tell this would have been five stars even without it. I had three helpings tonight and will definitely be making it again!!!

So wonderfully EASY...that is the best part. It is delicious as well. Everybody loved it. I was in a pinch to make something quick. I didn't have any yellow cake mix on hand so I used a box of carrot cake mix. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly and it came out very yummy. Served it with a nice vanilla custard sauce.

I've made this a few times now and my husband and sons love it, but my daughter and I really didn't care for it. But last night I made this and these were the changes - I used 1 can of peaches with the heavy syrup and 1 can with natural juice, I added an additional can of peaches but drained them, added cinnamon and brown sugar to the peaches, and sliced the butter thin to cover the top. With just these few changes it was so yummy, even my daughter and I couldn't resist it! Very easy, tasty dessert.

Excellent!! I took the advice of previous posters and thinly sliced the butter and laid the slices so they covered the dish in a thin layer. Fabulous!! I did add cinnamon to the peaches and sprinkled extra cinnamon on top! Super easy.

note to self...way too mushy! I even drained most of the juice from the peaches!

VERY VERY easy to make. I added more cinnamon than required, and also sprinkled brown sugar on top of the very thiny sliced butter. I only used about 1/2 of the cake mix box...I think using any more would have been too powdery since I partially drained the peaches. It was quite delicious!

Have made this several times as written. Turns out good every time. I made it with a butter pecan cake mix today and it is even better. I personally melt the butter and drizzle over the whole thing. Enjoy!
