Peach Cobbler Bread
SUBMITTED BY:
Amy Maindelle
"I developed this recipe to take advantage of our wonderful Georgia peaches. My husband, Andy, says it tastes just like peach cobbler."

Make this bread for the second time. I thought it was great the first time but not a lot of peach flavor. Second time I decreased the water by 1 T. and added 1 T. of peach schnapps and this gave it that "extra" kick. I also did not beat in all the peaches. Chopped them up into small chunks this added a nicer effect to the bread.

This was good. I added a little cinnamon and nutmeg and probably would add a little more next time. I also would add at least another 1/2 cup peaches to give it even more peachy flavor. But the folks I served it too really liked it. I will make it again!

This was so good. I actually made muffins instead of bread. Using my convection oven, it only took about 25 minutes to bake. My boyfriend doesn't like peaches, and even he loved them. There was even a woman from work I don't even know who had a muffin and tracked me down to get this recipe. Thanks for a winner!

I made this early this morning, before it got too warm. Only changes I made were doing half brown sugar/half regular sugar and added a little cinnamon and nutmeg. Oh, and I omitted the nuts because I didn't have any. This really got brown halfway through so I had to place a piece of foil over the top to keep it from burning on top. I think that next time I'll take some suggestions from other reviewers and either replace the water with oil or use a full stick of butter. I'd like to try it with the peach schnapps, too. It's an okay bread. I'd just like to bump up the flavor a bit more. I'm not real impressed with it, as is. Seems to me that it took a little more prep work from me for something that was lackluster.

I added a little bit of honey and a few less peaches to sweeten it up, and it turned out wonderful. Nice, thick bread with a good texture and a great flavor! It worked very well as an on-the-go breakfast item.

It was good bread, this batter would also make for some great peach muffins. They only thing I would change would be to substitute the water for some oil instead. Overall the bread was good.

This is SO GOOD!! I've made this about half a dozen times now, and it has always turned out superb! Like someone else suggested, I added a little cinnamon (1 tsp...maybe a little more? I didn't measure), and double the almond extract. Also, I had no pecans (don't really care for them anyway), so I left them out. I absolutely loved the flavor and it was so soft, moist, and sweet. The kids and hubby LOVE this, and I even took it to my daughter's preschool for snack and most of the kids loved it (and all their moms wanted the recipe)! Definitely a keeper!

After reading some of the reviews, I changed a few things otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. I changed the peaches to 2 1/2 cups with the juice, added 1 tsp cinnamon and changed the water to oil. It still didn't have enough peach flavor for my family so I think next time I make it I will do as another reviewer suggested and add a TBSP of Peach Schnapps. But overall, a great recipe!!! Thanks for sharing

I loved this and definitely think its a five star recipe. I have to say that my family seemed to think it was a bit 'much'--maybe heavy/sweet, that sort of thing. I say it was perfect. We took it camping.
