This is such a simple recipe, with no weird stuff. I doubled the peaches, used the kind that are canned in juice, and substituted the juice for the milk. I added 1 tsp of vanilla, increased the salt a little because my butter is unsalted, reduced the butter to about 2/3 of a stick. It's perfect! There is plenty of fruit, plenty of topping, and the top has little brown crunchy sugary spots. Next time I'll reduce the sugar to 1 cup total because I forgot that the juice will add sweetness. Can't wait for blackberry season.

I liked this recipe so much, I signed up so I could write a review. I've been craving peach cobbler so I decided to see what I could find here and after reading through some of the other recipes and reading through the reviews, settled on this one to try. Followed the recipe as is other than adding a little vanilla and cinnamon as recommended by others. Wow it came out great and it couldn't have been easier. So easy a child could do it and have it come out like a pro made it.

This is an old recipe formerly called "Lazy Day Cobbler". I used to make this about 30+ years ago. I guess I'm telling my age. You can use any fruit. I personally love to use the tart cherries in a can due to the tartness as it counterbalances the sweetness.

I didn't care much for the breading/crust. I followed the directions exactly and found it to be very cakey and fluffy, not thick like most cobblers. However, the fruit filling was great.

This was the first time I have made peach cobbler and boy did I hit the jackpot with this yummy recipe! I did use a 28oz can of peaches from reading the other reviews and cut the sugar on top in half and sprinkled a little cinnamon on top. I highly recommend this to everyone!

This recipe was wonderful! I had never made peach cobbler before and it very easy! I plan on making it for work (instead of for just myself) next time. Now I'm wondering what to do with the extra peach juice? I am thing of making muffins with it (like lemon muffins only instead of lemon juice adding peach juice)...not sure yet though.

I used: 10 fresh peaches boiled and peeled, with 1/4 cup of their natural juices I added cinnamon and vanilla to the batter as well as 1/2 cup white and 1/2 cup brown sugar. I spriknled cinnamon and brown sugar on top. Baked at 400C for 40 mins was delicious, especially with ice cream, on its own it was good but a little bland. Perfect with ice cream thou!

Very good and simple recipe. I only used a cup of sugar and was still very sweet. I also added cinnamon and nutmeg to the dough batter. It was very good!

My search for the perfect peach cobbler recipe is officially over! This is by far the best tasting peach cobbler I have made. I have tried about 10 different cobbler recipes from this site and this recipe takes the crown. I read a lot of reviews on here and not many mention how the topping turned out. To me, the topping is what makes the cobbler! This cobbler had a crispy crust with, a not too cakey middle, and a perfect gooey bottom. It had all the right texture, and most importantly the taste! There were 2 slight modifications. I only used 1/4 c. butter (half a stick). I just wanted to cut a bit of fat off. Also, I used 2 cans of peaches (16 oz total). One can simply was not enough peaches for me. But I followed the rest of the recipe fully. I love this cobbler! I can't wait to try it with real peaches. YUM!!!!!!!!

This was my first time making Peach Cobbler. It's a little bit too buttery for my taste, so I recommend using just a little bit less butter. I also replaced the sprinkled sugar on top with brown sugar and cinnamon. Overall, this was a super yummy cobbler!
