This is a very simple Carolina style vinegar based BBQ sauce. A friend of the family gave us this recipe several years ago and after a few tweaks and additions, this is the best BBQ sauce that I've ever had. You combine all of the ingredients and then enjoy. This is easily scaled up or down.

There's no cheating on the exciting flavors that diced tomatoes and green chile peppers bring to this sauce! If time and effort are a factor, this one will make you proud, and people will think you spent hours making it.

Frank's Famous Barbeque Sauce

Most folks think preparing barbeque means drenching some meat with some sauce out of a bottle while it's cooking, and squirting some more over it just before you serve it. I'm not one of those! This sauce is the result of quite a lot of experimentation over the years, and everyone who tries it seems to agree that it's great! The combination of the mustard and molasses give it a great sweet-tart flavor, and the bourbon adds a finishing touch you can't get any other way!

My mother-in-law gave me this recipe over twenty four years ago. I use it frequently and someone always asks for it. A mixture of tangy ingredients, onion and brown sugar creates one tasty sauce! This will keep in the fridge for several weeks.

This barbeque sauce is simple, but adds a great sweet-mild hot flavor for all meat.
