These baked beans are my new favorite! I made them for a mother's day cookout and everyone loved them! Per the advice of previous reviewers, I cut back the sugar and used more bbq sauce than ketchup. I will definitely make this again!

I made this for a pot luck, doubled the recipe and followed exactly except I did not have Garbonzo beans. Excellent!! It was a perfect blend of tastes and just sweet enough! Everyone loved it.

INCREDIBLE! I've never made beans other than dumping & heating up a can. These really were not hard, took me a little while but WELL WORTH IT! Everyone really liked them. These will be made again for sure! I skipped the garbanzo beans & just added more of the baked & I think it was the pinto beans? VERY tasty! Thanks for posting this recipe.

I made these for Easter and my family LOVED them. I doubled the recipe and had no leftovers, which was disappointing because I was hoping to have them the next day too. Very delicious!!

These were really good. I followed the recipe as is but prefer to cook my beans in a crock pot. Great taste and extra fiber to boot. Great barbecue side dish.

Excellant Recipe. I also replaced the Garbanzo beans with Black beans and added more mustard for a little more zest. Cooked it in the crock pot for a BBQ and it was a hit!

I made these baked beans for a family BBQ last weekend and everyone commented about how delicious they were. They really were the best baked beans I've ever had. I cooked them covered for an hour as directed, but then cooked them uncovered for about 10 minutes so they would thicken up and they turned out very well, not too much liquid. My store didn't have canned Great Northern Beans, and I don't care for Garbanzo Beans, so I used two cans of Pinto beans, two cans of Bush's Original Baked Beans, and one can of kidney beans, plus I used a really good, thick Applewood Smoked Bacon which added a great flavor and texture. I loved how simple this was to make! Thanks for the great recipe.

Good, but a little too sweet for my taste. I will definitely reduce the amount of sugar the next time I make this, but I will make again.

Definitely the most delicious baked beans I've ever tasted. One partI didn't really like were the garbanzos though. Next time I think I might replace them with more northern beans or black beans. This is definitely an awesome recipe for barbeques or anytime you grill. And to all you sugar lovers-don't over do the brown sugar or molasses. its sweet enough as it is, even if you like everything super sweet.

These turn out to be very sweet. Fun to experiment with all types of beans with this. Turns out great. Next time I will double the bacon and halve the sugar. A great basic recipe to start with and add ones own flair to.

Really good and easy! I left out the garbanzo beans, because they just didn't sound right in a baked bean recipe? Added a touch of BBQ sauce and I also cooked in a crock pot for time restraint, and they were great!

I skipped the bacon (gasp!) and threw this recipe in the crockpot and it turned out wonderful. The whiteness of the garbanzo beans makes it interesting...intriguing? scary? I guess you either love 'em or you hate 'em. I thought it was a nice touch.

Very good. Next time I will add more bacon and some chopped red pepper. I also didn't have all of the different beans so I only used regular beans and kidney beans. Next time I make it I am just going to stick with those two types because it came out great.

Worked out wonderfully, great visually--I got called out on the use of ketchup by some ingredient-conscious eaters. I loved it though, and so did everyone else! Makes a lot.
