It is a really good base recipe (just as another user noted). I did add two cloves of garlic and a can of mushrooms; I used miniature farfalle pasta instead. Also, I reduced the 2 cans of tomatoes and instead used 1 can of plain tomatoes and one small can of tomato sauce with garlic and organo. Also, added crushed red pepper as desired.

We tried this last night and loved how it came out! I made a few changes, per the other reviews of this recipe. I added some garlic and some leftover pasta sauce for a little more body. I also used a can of diced tomatoes with green chilies for the kick that my husband likes. We let it cook down a little and served it with shells and a sprinkle of feta - very delish! The spinach made it, we'll definitely be having this again.

Basically good, though a little lackluster. Used fresh roma tomatoes, added garlic and some dried thyme. It's a good and healthy base that I'll make again. Thanks.

Quite tasty; we modified by using 1 can diced tomatoes and 1 can tomato sauce, a package of frozen spinach sauteed in olive oil with onion and garlic, and romano cheese. The addition of garlic powder and italian seasonings gave it great flavor.

Quick, healthy, and tastes all right... it just lacks that wow factor.

The feta cheese really makes it--- I also add onions and garlic and all that good stuff, but the idea of using feta cheese is great. Thanks!

This was truly easy & excellent. I added minced garlic & sliced onion to my beans & fresh tomatoes(instead of canned), a bit of Italian seasoning. Very good, easy. I will DEFINITELY make this again. Thanks for sharing!

I was really expecting something yummy since it smelled so good while it was cooking but we did not like this dish at all. Far too much watery liquid left when done. I agree that something is needed to pull this together but hubby disliked it so much that I doubt I will try again.

So easy and so good! I did what other reviewers suggested and sauteed some diced onions (about 1 cup) and minced garlic (1 large clove) in about a teaspoon or more of olive oil, to which I added the tomatoes, etc. too. I also used frozen spinach versus the fresh. I couldn't believe how good it was for how little work it took.

This was really delicious. I added some frozen turkey meatballs to make my meat-eating boyfriend happy, and I added more italian seasonings. I served with bow-tie pasta and topped with parmesan, a real winner!

YUMMMY! I didn't have spinach or feta on hand. I added an Italian twist to the dish by adding zucchini for the last few minutes of the simmer and topped with fresh basil and parmesan. Great hot or cold!!!

Pretty dry. It would be better with pasta sauce/marinara sauce instead of the tomatoes. Beans and pasta is a good combination. I may also omit the Kale - it got pretty soggy.

This was wonderful. We tried the chickpea variation (garbonzo beans). 10 ounces of spinach sounds like an awful lot, but it cooks down to almost nothing. Very very good. Didn't miss the meat.
