This was made true to the recipe for a potluck, except I did use pineapple coleslaw dressing instead of regular dressing, and chopped celery instead of celery seed. We enjoyed it enough to make it again next week to go along with hamburgers!! I recommend salting the water for the pasta, and adding about 1/2 tsp of onion salt just before serving, otherwise a great recipe that will make a wonderful addition to our summer evening meals.

Made this as a go along with fried chicken for my sewing/quilting group tonight, they all loved it and asked for the recipe. Nice change from regular slaw.

Fun recipe. I left out the beans and added a bunch of chopped garlic. Really tasty :)

I like the combination of nutrition in this dish (legumes, grain, raw veg), but I think it calls for about twice as much pasta as needed. It is also one of those recipes where I will salt the pasta cooking water; otherwise I felt like oversalting it on my plate. If I had salted the water, the pasta itself would have had just enough to balance things out. My family and I liked it well enough to make again. Instead of celery seed, which none of us like, I always substitute a handful of finely chopped celery leaves, and I think this habit actually helped this salad.
